Perhaps you had developed a career plan earlier in life. If so, is your career plan still on track? Many adults find that their work lives have gone in a different direction than they had planned. Is your plan on track or has your “engine” stalled somewhere along the way? Career coaching and counseling services can help you review and revise your plan, if needed, to get you back on track.
You may be someone who is on track with your career plan, but are not sure you are prepared to conduct a job search. Resume review and preparation for interviewing are also available to provide guidance through your career transition.
Is your career plan still at the station? If you have not developed a plan, but would like to have a career plan, career development planning may help you make career changes or plan for future career transitions.
Unfortunately, for some people their career plan is a faint, distant memory. Maybe because of various circumstances, you were not able to implement your career plans. Research indicates most of us will work in 8 to 10 jobs or more, in our lifetime. We also know many people are working later in life and, although you may retire at 60 or even 65, you may not want to quit working. Work continues to play very important roles in people’s lives. Words of encouragement and support may help you expand your vision of your future and develop plans for the direction you would like your life to take.
